Linetypes are usually loaded from .lin files, but are stored inside the drawings.

The attached lisp will extract the current linetype definition to the command line where you can copy it and place it in a .lin file. One of my oldest lisp, but I've updated it a few times over the years. Lots of others out there, but this is the only one I know that's been updated for the Upright Rotation type.

Set the linetype you want the definition of as the current linetype first, then run the lisp.

Thanks so much Tom! This was great. I was trying to get a linetype for years and didn't know how to do it.

I did not examine Tom's lisp file, but just as an FYI, there are two similar lisp files here: http://www.turvill.com/t2/free_stuff/index.htm

One will extract a particular linetype that you decide.
The other will extract all of the linetypes in a given drawing.
