Red face Area Reinforcement Tags & getting EF or EW to display

Has anyone setup a tag that correctly uses the "structural abbreviations" for area reinforcement to display EF or EW?

I have a tilt panel that I'm detailing the rebar for. I have placed some area reinforcement where the Exterior Major Direction values are the same as the Interior Major Direction values.

I was just using the default tag that comes in the metric template which just displays the Summary and the result is:

    N16 @ 400 (E)
    N16 @ 400 (I)

I want it to display as N16 @ 400 EF

I thought adding the "Top and Bottom Major Layers Match" parameter to this label would do this, but instead it just follows the values above with a "Yes".

How do I get the Each Face or Each Way values to kick in?

Or doesn't it work in this circumstance...?

You can chnage the abrevations by clicking on the Home tab->Reinforcement panel drop ->down Abbreviations.

I don't need to change the abbreviations, they are set correctly... I need Revit to actually detect that the interior and exterior are the same and to display EF.

How have you created the wall??

I have no issues with this when using area reinforcement.

Weird. Yes as I mentioned I have a tilt-panel wall, the reinforcement shows correctly in the wall and as I specify. But the tag doesn't write the information correctly as outlined previously...

I was more meaning how have you created the wall in Revit?

With tilt panels I have seen a few variations outside of using the wall command so I was wondering if that was the issue. However by the sound of it you just used the standard command.

Are there any alterations with your tags or can you make a copy of the selected item with the area reo and put it up to have a closer look at?

    Hi AJS,

Wall has been created as a 150mm Thick concrete panel with embedded wall reveals at the top and bottom to add the 20mm ariss. Walls are then disallow joined at their ends a vertical wall reveal added to achieve the ariss at the ends and joins.

I've tried that many options and combinations I'm not sure which version is worth uploading. Originally I just had the standard tag that came with the metric library and modified it to use Arial Narrow text. I had given up on it being an issue with the tag itself and thought there must be some other factor causing the issue...

    Thanks.

You can tag wall reinforcement area as "E.W. E.F" by doing this :
Go to Structure>Reinforcement Dropdown Menu>Area Reinforcement and then erasing the values for all the Wall setting, and using an Area Reinforment tag with the parameter "Layer Summary" as the label.
