Default Alignment revision issue with Surface points created from Grading Objects

I have created an existing & proposed surface. Any grip edit revisions to an alignment is causing the feature line from the grading object that ties to the existing surface to generate multiple new points (surface points) on elevation zero. the Alignments are not outside of the proposed boundary which I have discovered causes this same issue. Any suggestions or resolutions?
