nope, not backwards compatible. In 2018 you'd need to export the C3D Data to landxml, export the dwg to vanilla 2013 format (AECExplode), then import the landxml in 2015 to get the 'smarts' back.
I just want to view it.
In other word take my 2018 dwgs on a flash drive to another location and be able to view it. Not work on it.
Thats why I mentioned the Object Viewer. It seems as though I remember somewhere back a few years ago that was a product that different versions of cad could use to view Civil 3d dwgs with.
