Default Revit-> DWG-> 3dsMax, Assembly/Groups how to keep them once imported in 3dsMax?

    Hi,

actually it's a pretty often question, but can't find a decent solution for few days.

Modeled a Stadium in Revit. It has few hundreds columns.
Columns are made as a group or assemble.

Export the Stadium as DWG or FBX.

When Importing to 3dsMax, I see all columns as separate objects. That is why the Model in 3dsMax is VERY difficult to manipulate. It's almost at memory limits.

What I would like is to keep all columns as s single object when imported to 3dsmax, so it looks like this:

    All Columns are 1 object.

Of cause I did this manually which is annoying and once the model is very slow or even crash the Max, almost impossible to work with and make Attach in 3dsMax.

    Question:
How or what to do, in revit, or during export, so all the Columns (as an example in my case) will be imported as ONE object in 3dsMax?

    Thanks in advance.
