Default How to write ARX routines

Exactly what programs are necessary to produce a acad arx file.
I have figured at least to have C++ , but what version and what else do you need to be
able to make an arx.... compliers, visual studio something. Then what does autodesk have to do with providing any program information to make it interface properly. Perhaps, there are some very cool sites. I have only found one so far.

    any others any would recommend?

    Thanks all

    Hi

Might want to take a look at the August 2005 ATP offering "ATP086 ObjectARX for Dummies" - Current ATP Courses.
