I have a linked .ifc file with structural steelwork linked into an architectural model. The steelwork is visible in the section view but as soon as the section line is split it disappears. Has anyone got around this problem?

I have a linked .ifc file with structural steelwork linked into an architectural model. The steelwork is visible in the section view but as soon as the section line is split it disappears. Has anyone got around this problem?

I ended up drawing multiple non-split sections and stitching them together on the drawing sheet...
