    Default Outsourcing vs Inhouse

We currently outsource our payroll and what I would like to know is how easy would it be to bring it inhouse and do it ourselves. I have looked at the initial and ongoing cost and there are savings to be made; but I'm just trying to figure out if it is worth it, since it is pretty hassle free for us at the moment.

We have about 40 employees in our company.

    Any thoughts?

My last company outsourced ours, we were only about 10 people though. They wanted to focus management and leadership on the technical employees and offload as much of the administrative things as possible. It is the way I would do it, to, for most skills.

    I would agree with that.

Hi guys I don't know I should post here but I just want to ask because I'm we've also outsource some of our business function and i'm afraid the staff are not working because of the pandemic. Was thinking to cancel them maybe? I just don't like them working at home.

From my perspective it comes down to one thing: are they getting the work done that they were assigned? If they are (unless there are confidentiality or security issues), what does it matter where they are when they do the work? This applies whether the work is contracted out or done bt an employee.

If the work is not being done and it can't wait, then that's a different issue and perhaps a change needs to be made.

Your last sentence sends up a huge red flag.. Two possibilities come to mind that would explain it, well three if you count a Calvinist philosophy.
    Primus: micromanagement
Secundus: lack of management planning and scheduling
