Default Horizontal Scroll in 2004 Architectural Desktop

Hi all and new to the forum. I still use 2004 Architectural Desktop on an XP machine so it'll work with my plotter, and I've not used it in awhile. It's not an everyday thing for me.

When I have a set of drawings open the horizontal scroll doesn't work on it. The arrows are there but nothing happens when I try to use them. The vertical scroll does work.. Is there a fix for this?

    Thanks in advance.

What happens if you do ZOOM EXTENTS? Can you use the PAN command?

Hi Ed and thanks for your prompt reply. Yes, Zoom and Pan works just fine.

Hmm. Scroll is just like doing a pan. Is it specific to one dwg or all dwg's?

Any and all drawings. When I need to Pan and zoom they work. When I try to use the arrows to scroll left or right it doesn't work.

I don't know...you might try turning off the scroll bars in Options>Display tab and then turning them back on.

Thanks again for your help Ed. I've tried that several times and still the same. My husband, and one of our daughters in here, are each on a different version and they're not having this problem and never had it. I sure need to get it fixed though It's getting beyond frustrating now.
    Thanks again.

Can't you just pan and forget about the scroll bars. I don't even have them on. You should be able to pan just by clicking and holding the left mouse button. My guess is that its a problem with XP. If it weren't dead, I'd suggest updating some drivers.

Thanks Ed for your continued support. I did an uninstall and a reinstall and the horizontal scroll is working now. I have no clue why. I like about a day finishing up a design on a timber framed horse barn. I'll be working on the construction plans when I get this done and will update you if the scroll continues to work or not. When I pan I pan, when I zoom I zoom, but when I've got a desktop full of drawings that I need to be zipping from one end to the the other end I like to scroll. That may be a woman thing lol.
Thanks again and I'll be back in touch. Have a great week.
