Default Can not export layers on 3D DWF or DWFX...

    Hi Everyone, (I'm running Civil 3D 2010)
I'm putting together a building model for the company I'm working for. I have developed a model with differecnt elements of the building solids on different layers. Example: walls on a layer, columns on a layer, slabs on a layer, etc... When I export to 3D DWF using Civil 3D, I lose the layer names and only get the generic model sub-part names... Solid (3d) [c172f].

I am able to export the layers using Map 2010. does anyone know why?

    bb, or anyone else

I see it has been a while since you posted and answer to eraska, that seems to have worked for him.
I am having the same issue, using vanilla AutoCAD 2019. I have tried everything I can to get Layer info to come through, without success.
As eraska said, the Solids info comes through.

I have a 3D desk, with all the "guts" on separate layers, and would like for the viewer to drill down into the guts by turning off layers.
Multiple attempts vields "None Available" in the Layers Tab.
