Default Site plans - buildings only cast shadows partially.

    hi there,
I have a site plan that shows several city blocks and I want all the buildings in them to cast shadows, however only a small portion of them are doing so (the ones that are in the area as if I had started this for a single building project). I started this from an architectural template. I cannot solve this, anyone can help please?
    thanks a lot
    Paul

Strange. The only way I could replicate this was to use a toposurface to catch the shadows for some of the buildings but not others:
    Capture.PNG
But as soon as I tried to make the toposurface itself not visible, the shadows disappeared, too.

When using a level as a ground plane in Sun Settings, the shadows of all the buildings were visible even if the extents of the level were not below any of the buildings.

I did experiment to see if phasing made any difference, the way it can do with materials, but no go. (The E is an existing building, the N is new construction.)

    I'm stumped, too.
