Default Pipe Network / Part Catalog

I am assigning styles to my network parts list. I am using the "Rectangular Structure Slab Top Rectangular Frame" for inlets. 90% of my inlets are Curb Inlets so I am assigning my curb inlet block.

I would like to have another part family that is rectangular for Drop Inlets. Standard Part Catalog doesn't have a second rectangular inlet option.

Any suggestions on how I can setup my structure part family so when I am drawing a storm network I can change structure and not have to manually go back and change the style from curb inlet to drop inlet?

You could add additional parts to your parts list in a similar fashion as pipes. The additional part just needs a property/dimension that makes it a unique part. You can then assign a style to that part. When that part is used or swapped for another the style from the parts list will be used.

Just rename the first Structure of a given size in your Parts List (Existing Curb Inlet), then add that same size Structure again, rename as needed (Proposed Curb Inlet), and assign different Style/Rules, etc.

    Cheers

This is the answer but leads to one more question. Is there a a structure part family that I can add that has rims and grates for frames?

Glad it helped; not sure that I understand your question, please clarify.
