    Default Where's my section line?

I'm currently working on a big revit model, and right now I am working on tidying up section views.
Often times I need to adjust the depth of the section view to show/hide objects, so I go to the floor plan, find the section line, and so on.

The problem is, the model is really big with nearly over 100 sections and sometimes I have a difficult time trying to find where the section line is on the floor plan.

Is there an easier/faster way to locate where the section line is on the floor plan?
When I want to simply see what's happening, I use the 3D view cube and jump to the section view, but the problem is when I need to adjust the depth of the section view, I need to located it on the floor plan.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you.

When you're in the section view, right-click > Find Referring Views. A dialog will appear and a list of views the section annotation is in will appear. It might be a long list but any plan oriented view ought to work for adjust the scope. You can also just turn on the crop boundary in the section to adjust the height and width of the view, from within the section. You can also change the depth in the view, it's the parameter Far Clip Offset.

    Hi Steve

Thank you kindly for your help!
I did not know that you could adjust the depth of the section directly from the section view!
    Thanks again.

    Hi Steve

I have an additional question in regards to my last question, if I may.

Working in my file, I noticed certain section lines do not appear in certain views.

So let's say there is a "Section view A" which appears in a total of 10 floor plans, but I have 25 floor plans in total.
I checked the 15 floor plans that do not display "Section view A" and tried to find the section line.
I checked VG>annotations, but that wasn't it. I clicked the lightbulb icon to show hidden elements, but nothing.

What could be the reason for this?
Is there a way to control which section lines appear in which views/view types?

    Thank you for your time.

Sections and Elevations (and callouts) are related to the views they were created in. They also have a parameter called Hide in Scales Coarser Than which will prevent them from showing up in views that are set below that threshold. If you have a section assigned to 1:50 it won't show up in views that are any "coarser" than that, won't be seen in 1:100 views for example. They also have view Types and relate to discipline as well as phases. If you have a floor plan for an existing phase then sections created in that view will inherit that phase and won't be visible in future phases.

Hi Steve, thanks for getting back to me.

Turns out it was the phases!
