Using In-Place Mass Tools to Create Spiral Ramp - Orthogonal to Project Z-Axis?

Hello, I'm trying to construct a spiral ramp using mass tools— basically extruding a section profile along a series of arcs as shown in screenshot 1. I've semi-successfully generated the form, but it's skewed at the base of the ramp, as shown in screenshot 2...

For some reason I cannot select the profile at the base of the ramp, and rotate back into place. I was wondering if there is a way to keep the profile vertical, relative to the project? Maybe by tweaking the reference point properties (screenshot 3)? Any thoughts are appreciated!

Use a blended sweep and offset the end profile in the z direction. Rinse and repeat.
Adaptives won't work for what you're trying to do. They tend to rotate around the path.
