    Default Storm Top Surface Issue

When data referencing a storm system into the cross sections, the below image is a common error in our drawing files. The correct surface is set in the data file and the data ref. has the correct surface in the properties dialog for the structure.
Simple to fix, just have to go into structure properties reselect "Reference Surface" and choose the same surface that it is already referencing.

But why do we have to re-select the surface that it is already referencing? This happens every time it re-syncs as well. So in order to plot a set of cross sections you have to re-select the reference surface for all manholes.

    Any suggestions?

What happens when you manually sync the Pipe Network (after opening the drawing)?

What is the new PIPENETWORKSYNCMODE sysvar value?
