Default Can I replace all C3D OTB Parts with published IPE parts?

Not sure if I missed this in the forums, or if anyone on here has tried to just remove the original Part Builder parts in Civil 3D and replace with only published Infrastructure Parts Editor Parts?

Over the years we have had to modify the default parts to work with multiple scenarios (0.0 floor thickness, 0.0 walls, special built parts) but I'd like to get back to a fresh catalogs because of previous mistakes, like trying to organize part sizes on the list. (BTW don't do that, the GUID doesn't follow the part size like you'd expect)

Just wondering if I could get someone's feedback if this has been attempted, if not, guess I'll give it a try and see what can or can't be done. Thinking ahead with more usage with Infraworks and Civil 3D interoperability in mind.

You can change the path of the parts catalog using the AeccSetNetworkCatalog command. It is also in the drop-down of the Create Design ribbon on the Home tab. I don't have any IPE parts to test, but it should be doable. Most of the parts are XML based files with associated drawings. The catalogs are also XML based.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
