    Default STB plot file

Any .STB plotters use any other screening tools other than transparency?

The FDOT.stb file I mentioned in your other thread has a plot style 000 that's exactly the same as the standard Normal except Screening is set to 5 instead of 100.
I use it for Solid hatches to produce a light shading in any color I want.
    Very handy!

When I used STB files, we were fully set with named plot styles for lineweights as well as screening. We did not use the layer/object lineweight settings.

That's how it had to be done two decades ago using a CBT before lineweight could be set to a layer or object. It would take 75 plot styles to do everything our 5 plot styles do now.
There's a reason no CTB or STB installed with AutoCAD will ever have a plot style with an assigned lineweight.
