Select one, right-click, choose Properties.
Change the color.

To change the default layer for these objects, go to [Settings > Drawing Settings > Object Layers > Tin Surface-Labeling]

Or you can turn them off.

I dont want to change the layer. I am trying to change the color of the contour label line. The file I am currently working in has the label line so faded and that its very difficult to see so I can manipulate the contour label.
