from 0001 to 9999, ideally multiple disciplines, thanks.
You could set it up so that the numbers are representative like this [1][2][03] = [discipline 0-9][drawing types 0-9 (references, plans, elevations, sections, etc)][sheet number 01-99].
This way if you set architecture to 1 and plans to 3 the first drawing in that part of the set would be numbered 1301.
thanks marmiketin.
this 4-digits is only for sheet number parameter in Revit, discipline and view type etc. will be reflected in sheet name.
I just looked at the formatting for BS1192 and in that system the discipline is stated using a letter followed by a - which preceeds the 4-digit number. If you want the sheets to be number automatically you would need to setup additional sheet parameters and then use a formula to combine them together. In my office we number like this A1.1 where A is the discipline, the first 1 is the sheet series and the second 1 is the sheet number withing the series. The sheet number combines the the sheet number with the discipline and the sheet series. Revit lets you do anything you want with parameters.
thanks marmiketin, that's what i thought too, for instance, A1001 means Arch, 1 for sheet series, 001 for sheet numbering in that series, the problem is our sheet name already includes discipline info, etc., so only 1001 is needed in Revit sheet number parameter, means only for sheet numbering purpose, well, not 100% aligned w/ BS1192.
any chance having sample pdf or excel of sheet list of your office? mainly sheet series i.e. separate sheet series for plan/elevation/section/etc.? separate sheet series for concept/detail/etc.? based on scale, etc.?
here is a sample of how our construction documents stage is setup.
