Default Adjust stair stringer position vertically relative to treads

I am sure this is a straight forward fix. How do i get the stair stringer to move vertically relative to the tread.

Tab until you select your stringer and adjust both Structural Depth On Run and Total Depth parameters.

Thanks, thats great. Worked a treat.

I have 2 more questions regarding the stringer adjustment, as I am trying to emulate how we actually make our stairs here in scotland.
    1. How do you get the stringer to align with the rear face of the top riser.
    2. Can you get the stair to finish on a partial nosing instead of what revits done here.

Stair tool in Revit doesn’t have a lot of options and flexibility and you cannot finish stair with the nosing by it itself, but you can finish stair with the tread. Option is available when you select stair run. Another option is to apply a beam object as a stair stringer (separately from a stair tool). Beams can be cut with ref planes giving more design options – see picture and this link.
