Default UCS SNAPS AUTOMATICALLY TO SURFACE

When I work on 3D models in an oblique view in AutoCAD 2011, the UCS automatically snaps to the surface the cursor is over… very annoying. I don't want it to do that. If I set my UCS to World, I want it to stay that way. If I set it to Right, I want it to stay that way. I assume they added a variable sometime around Acad2011 that I have set incorrectly. Do you know what it is?

Just a guess but maybe it's your UCSDETECT variable, the default is "1" (on/active) and maybe you want it "0" (not active)
