I've got a drawing that I need to copy a road profile into without copying the alignment. I only need the profile line to copy into another drawing profile... is this possible? I hope I'm explaining this well enough.
Thanks.

To elaborate a little further, I created a new road alignment because we had to move a road to avoid cutting down a tree. When I created the new alignment, for whatever reason my newer design profile reverted back to the original design and I don't know how that happened. I'm trying to fix this by putting the new profile line back somehow. I have that profile in an earlier version of the file, I just can't get it into the other drawing without it replacing the road alignment with the old alignment.
Save yourself the headache. Make a list of your PVI's and VC's stations and elevations. delete the old and start fresh.
I was afraid that might be the answer but thought I'd check anyway.
Thank you.
What if you approached this the other way around. The older drawing has the good profile, so update its alignment with the newer version by exporting/importing it via xml.
Another thought, export the good alignment and the good profile from their respective drawings. Then in the new one import the good profile, then import the good alignment to fix the alignmnet back to the way it was before the profile import.
