Question Can you have two sections not touching as one parcel?

I've somehow managed to make it through 15 years of using Civil 3D without ever creating a parcel, so I may be asking a simple question but I don't think I even know enough to google the correct thing to find an answer.

I'm creating a serious of parcels from polylines, but one of my parcels is two separate sections (one on each side of a road) and I haven't been able to figure out a way to create this as one parcel.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Try typing UNIONPARCELS.

I've used it in the past to join adjacent parcels. I just tried it on parcels that were separated and it seemed to work just fine.

It's also available on one of the menus in the Parcel Layout Tools palette.
