Girders hidden by floors after a connection is added

Hi,
In Revit 2021 after a steel connection is added to a steel member, its stick symbol is masked by the floor (or roof). See screen shots attached.
Changing the beams stick symbol location to location line only works if the beams reference level is at the same level of the slab (or above).

Does anyone know a fix for this?
