Summary: the default wall (or floor/ceiling/roof) join functionality in Revit is appalling and needs much improvement

Description: WALL JOINS -- the default wall (or floor/ceiling/roof) join functionality in Revit is appalling, the current option is to either accept Revit's flawed, most often incorrect wall joins, to cycle through a few different alternatives which more often than not don't include a correct/logical one, or right-click the walls end and choose DisAllow Join for each and every wall end; Material handling gives no precedence to elements/layers that are marked as 'structural' for example, resulting in structure that is cut into or changes length due to touching non-structural element/layers; This is not the reality of how buildings are built at all, and makes documentation much more difficult. * Instead the Join Tool should highlight walls like AutoCAD, not simply show a box around the intersection, so users can be clear on which walls they are working with, as there are often many intersections and numerous walls close to each other, and split the wall join options according to layer types; * DisAllow should be a simple hover with cursor and one-click to change; * Layers set as 'structure' layer should take precedence over 'substrate', 'finish', etc when Revit determines the default join order; * Joins should allow finish layers to wrap into the face of windows/doors/curtain mullions, with structural layers turning in behind the frame
