Default Copy Featurelines from another file

Is there a way to copy feature lines from one file to the other and keep them in the same Site group as long as the site group is the same name?

If both drawings are open the CopyClip and PasteOrig commands SHOULD do the job (note that I haven't tested it).

What happens though is it generates a new site "Site|1" for the pasted Feature Line. I know a lot of Civ 3D users who are not aware of that. It would be really nice if it would stay on the same site if they are named identically. Feature lines on the same surface should also be on the same Site. Civ 3D files do not crash when this is managed.

Can you move the feature lines to the None site before copying? Then you are not duplicating sites on the copy. After the copy, you could move the feature lines to desired site.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.

You can then simply select them, right click and choose "Move to Site". You may have better luck with a wblock/insert combo?

    I may add a FeatureLine export/import option to our C3D add-on.

If the feature line remains on the Site, the WBLOCK/INSERT combo creates a second site with the added suffix mentioned in the original post. If the feature line is first set to the None site, then the WBLOCK/INSERT does not create a new site in the drawing allowing for the newly inserted feature line to be moved to the correct site.
