Change a wall base family to a face base family?

I go a bunch of wall based (sound Panels) families that I need to change to a face based family. Need to move them to different surfaces (i.e. ceiling, millwork, etc.)

Can it be done short of re-modeling them?

Try nesting your family to face based family template. You might need to re-establish your parameters.
