Question Dimension Parameter to change length along 45 degree path.

    Hi,

I am trying to create a dimension parameter to an object that will be on a 45 degree path from the center of a cylinder. I've attached a clip explaining my issue.

It seems to me that reference lines on a 45 degree angle don't have any functionality and dimension parameters fail when I try to use them.

    Any ideas? Thank you.

All that is needed for this is to create a reference line that ends at the centerpoint of your 2 center reference planes. Lock the end of this reference line to that center point by tabbing to it then lock the other end to the face or plane of the item you want to move. Next add a dimension from the item to the endpoint locked at the center. See image below for clarity.
