Default Moving a family (in thid case base cube) to project base point

    Hi

How can i simply move a family to coordinates 0,0,0.

The family is a base cube (just a cube extrusion with one corner sticking out).

This is how i did it:

1 In my settings i have made sure that in visibility settings, i can see the project base point icon.
2 inserted the family in level 0.
3 in front elevation, moved the fam. using the corner i wanted to the base point icon.
4 in left elevation i did the same action.
5 opened the general 3D view to see if it was on the right place.

as you see, it was a lot of work. Can it be done faster? is there another way?

    Thanks in advance!
    AJ

If you have the project base point visible in a level 0 plan, you should be able place it right on the PBP ... no moving necessary. Or if it was placed elsewhere before, you should be able to move it in plan without needing to open the elevation views.

Thanks for your reply, Usually PBP should act magnetic. I placed the survey point on top of it before and it was placed on the center perfectly. This time it was not magnetic and i had to place it as close as i could to the center. obviously i was a bit off center. i corrected this by going to the elevation views.
anyway my question is, can you move a fam. to a certain coordinate for example the (0,0,0) by clicking on the family and using a move command?

    Thanks again!
