    Default CAD object snap measurements

    Hello everyone!

I'm a new CADD student and learning quickly! (2021), however, I cannot figure out how to change the decimal placeon the line snap. When my professor says "enter 3 for 3", I have to enter ".3" to get the same size line in my model space. I am in drafting and annotation mode with the decimal application on.

    Please advise

Are you using AutoCAD or some other CAD application?

I don't know what "decimal placeon the line snap" means.

Same goes for "When my professor says "enter 3 for 3", I have to enter ".3" to get the same size line in my model space."

Can you share some screenshots and more info? Thanks.

The line you drew at a length of 0.3 cannot be reported as 3.0 in the Properties Palette or by the LIST command.

A line drawn 0.3 in length in Paper Space is supposed to display the same length as a 3.0 line drawn inside a viewport with a scale of 1:10 or 0.100.
