    Default Batch File Conversion...

    Hello:

We've got a detail library of over 1000 AutoCAD drawings that I'd like to convert into Revit drafting views... a daunting task.

I'd like to see a utility that can do batch file conversion for detail component and drafting view file types. This utility should allow the user to map entities on AutoCAD layers to Revit line types.

Similarly, we have a large library of Architectural Desktop multi-view blocks that I'd like to convert over to Revit families.... I've been converting some manually, but the process is very labor intensive.

Anyone know of any developers marketing utilities like these? Is Autodesk planning anything along these lines?

Converting a vast AutoCAD library to Revit can indeed be challenging. While there are no specific Autodesk utilities known for batch conversion with entity mapping, third-party developers may offer solutions It's worth exploring platforms like Autodesk App Store or contacting developers specializing in CAD-to-Revit conversions for potential tools.
