I have three co-workers running into issues with moving and joining survey figures and it's a problem I don't run into. Whenever I have to connect survey figures up I drag one survey figure on to the other's end point, add the lost PI back into the figure, and join the two figures. Easy.
Except...for all three of them when they move survey figures to join them the moved survey figure does not acquire the elevation of the endpoint of the other survey figure so CAD refuses to join them until they go into the elevation editor to adjust the elevation. In fact it actually holds the original survey figure elevation no matter where they drop it, even if they drop it on a node which should drop it to 0 elevation since our point styles have the setting to be considered flat when snapping to it.
We tried to find a setting for this, but could not. I loaded the profile they were using and didn't acquire their issue as part of the profile, and when we tested it in the same drawing I did not run into this issue at all. The only thoughts I had are bad install or missing an update. I doubt the bad install because three people are experiencing it and when we looked at missing updates nothing caught my eye as to what would fix the issue.
Does anyone know of some super secret setting for this or have an explanation for this?
Thanks for the help.
