Default hatch in model space masks paper space text

I have a drawing with a solid color hatch applied in model space and text and dimensions in paper space. The text and dims in paper space are not visible (and will not plot) where the hatch is showing through the viewport. I can select the text/dims and edit them, but cannot see or print them. If I move text/dims away from view port, I can see/plot them. This condition is new to the file today. I'm am currently working directly on my office network. Yesterday when I worked on the file it was fine. I was then accessing my office desktop from home via a vpn. Is there a view port setting I am missing?

In the Page Setup for the layout (or in the Plot dialog), is the Plot paperspace last toggle checked (in the Plot options area at the right side; in the Plot dialog, you have to expand the dialog to see it)? With that not checked, I get results similar to what you describe. With it checked the paper space objects plot "on top".

Thank you Sir! That fixed the issue. Yesterday, when I changed to a different page setup, the problem went away, too. Until I switched back to the desired page setup. Good deal! And it is Friday! Have a great weekend!
