Anyone know what expression will work to rotate a label style based on the grid rotation?

YES, and no.
Yes it can be done, however it will not happen automatically as the grid rotation is not exposed for use in any label style I have encountered.
To test this go to Settings>>General>>Label Styles>>NOTE
Create a new Expression, call it GRID ROTATION
Enter the known Grid Rotation value
Use the FORMAT AS, and format it as ROTATION
Now make a new note style,
and in the label style composer select your new expression as the desired rotation for the note object to use.
Again it won't happen automatically, however as this is most likely a 'special' use case creating the expression to make it happen
would be unique to each instance anyway.
As you noted it was more a special use case, I chose to select all of the notes for that transformation and set the label rotation property to the correct angle. Thanks for the reply.
