    Default Help please

    Hello all

I have Revit 2015 and 2014 and had to reload it into a new computer. I was in a hurry to work on a project and could not immediately went to work without doing the registration. Well on the 2015 the registration "trial period" expired and when I went to do the registration it turns out that is the year that perpetual registrations ended so I need my drawing converted to Revit 2014 as I have the registration for the 2014.

I am not able to up load it here but could e mail it to you directly.

    tjhernacki@yahoo.com

    Thank you all

    Timothy

I don't believe you can do what you're asking. Revit does not save backwards (not backwards-compatible)
You can't open a 2015 file and save it to 2014 like other software may allow.

So you will either need to get Revit 2015 or higher, or start over.

In General, Ted is correct. You can't save backwards. However, when I was at a BiLT Conference a few years ago and was told something different. As a standard user you can't save back an upgrade. But if you have enough money, Autodesk can save a file back to a previous version. But I'm not sure how you would even go about it.
If you missed the "Window", I'd try to contact Autodesk and see if they're willing to do anything.
