Maybe XDWGFADECTL (System Variable) https://help.autodesk.com/view/ACD/2...A-92AEA550940B
Controls the dimming for all DWG xref objects.
Type: Integer
Saved in: Registry
Initial value: 50
The valid XDWGFADECTL system variable value is between -90 and 90. When XDWGFADECTL is set to a negative value, the Xref Fading feature is not turned on, but the setting is stored.
If 0 DWG xref objects are not faded.
If >0 When the value is positive, controls the percent of fading up to 90 percent.
If <0 When the value is negative, xref objects are not faded, but the value is saved for switching to that value by changing the sign.
Thanks Tom, but that variable controls 'fading' of the actual 'XREF' drawing.
I am querying the 'Layer Manager dialogue' showing the 'XREF Layer Names'.
I have Googled and searched AutoDesk and failed.
Up to my 2021 release upgrade both normal layers and XREF layers were fully black text. Now, with 2021, the XREF Layer Names are faded.
Weird. Why?
