Default Good resources for learning AutoCAD?

I'm a first year architecture student and I'm currently trying to find good resources for learning AutoCAD.

At the moment I'm a little bit frustrated since I wasn't expecting it to be this hard to pick up the basics. I was hoping that I could learn a lot by playing around and a lot of trial and error, which didn't really work out (I really know my way around a lot of programs including Photoshop, After Effects, Sony Vegas, SketchUP...etc.). So I would love if there is a resource out there that covers the basics very well.

I'd really appreciate it if you could help me out. And any tips on how to learn best would also be great.

Since you say you are a student, your school's engineering dept should offer a class. That would be the best way to get started. They will introduce you to Autodesk's student software program. If you are a do-it-yourself'er, a book would work. You can also watch recorded classes from Autodesk University. Autodesk has recent years here, and AUGI has 2000-2010 located here.
