Default Editing blocks for Detail Component Manager

I am having a problem of editing inserted blocks, that I have pulled from the Detail Component Manager (ie Brick) in AutoCad Architecture 2022. In the past, I could insert brick into my drawing and the right click and edit the block in place. Now with 2022, I have to copy and rename the block to something else non-anonymous to be able to edit in place. If I try to edit the block pulled straight from the detail component manager, I get the message "Cannot Refedit ANONYMOUS Block", what gives. I can complete the edit in Autocad Architecture 2021.

    Thanks,

    Scott

Did you ever find a solution to this? I've been having the same issue and would love to get it corrected!

    Thanks,

    Josh

I have not. The only thing that I can find at this time is to rename the block and then edit it. I am still searching and if I find out, I will let you know.

Since you can perform the action in 2021 but not 2022, I would say it is a bug. Go to your account and on the Home tab, select the Support Cases button. It will take you here. Start a new technical support case and report the bug.

Out of curiosity, can you edit it in the block editor instead of in-place? What about other blocks, not just brick? Is the problem with the block or with the editor?

I'm pretty sure it's the editor as it doesn't matter which block is inserted, I have to rename it before I can edit it. I'll get the support case a try and see what comes of that. Thank you!

Did you try the block editor instead of in-place?
