    Default Ditch Profiles

Is there a method in Civil 3D where one can create a profile for a ditch flow line to follow while maintaining a set side slope for that ditch?
There would need to be multiple profiles along a project at various stationing and left or right of the center. The offset from center would most likely vary along the project while maintaining a constant side slope.

You can create profiles for pretty much any linear type object.

Your assembly assigned to the specific corridor section would need to have a LinkSlopeToElevation type sub-assembly. You could then target the "ditch" profile. To maintain the slope, the horizontal placement of the ditch would meander as needed.

one might want to look into an OFFSET within their assemblies, and attach the desired ditch section using generic links...
and or explore use of CONDITION assemblies to decide what ditch, and or side slopes should be applied based on the conditions at the ditch location

    Thanks
I am not looking for a specific offset distance. The slope and the profile elevation would determine that. I believe that the LinkSlopeToElevation sub-assembly, brought to my attention by Opie is what I am looking for.

Have you considered using a target surface for establishing the slope for your ditch? Your target surface would be as offset from to centerline (inside and outside) so as to present a target for your sub-assembly for your design surface. You'd usually only need one target surface since your targets wouldn't be overlapping in most scenarios.
