Right click not closing out command after the command completes action

When I delete excess surface triangle edge lines, the lines erase as expected but then when I either hit enter, or right click to enter, the command stays open and the only way out is to hit escape, then the lines I just erased come back.

What am I doing wrong?

I am using version 2019.

can you hit F2 and coppy what is happening at your command line for us to review?

is the surfaace a data reference?

have you changed your rt-click customizations?

I kept after it due to a deadline so I managed to get it completed. I am working in an earlier version today but when I get a chance I will try to duplicate the problem so I can forward it to you guys to trouble shoot. For the record, I did try changing the right click customization settings but that did not help. (remember, this result was happening with the enter key as well)
Maybe this was an issue with the 2019 version? Who knows...
