Summary: Add the same [Clear All Formatting] option for text available in all Office software.

Description: In the ribbon for Microsoft Office software there's a [Clear All Formatting] button that easily clear all formatting (such as bold, underline, italics, color, superscript, subscript, and more) from text and returns it to it's default formatting style.
While AutoCAD's Mtext formatting options are almost the same this clear Mtext formatting option is still missing. Much lisp code has been created to work around this shortcoming but it's time for this to simply be added as an option to the Mtext editor.

Agreed, this would be nice to have OOTB instead of the need for "StripMtext" lisp or other work-arounds.
Also have it available through setvars or command-line so scripts or other programming can be run.

I was wrong AutoCAD already has this.
In the [Text Editor Ribbon Contextual Tab] Formatting Panel's Clear Formatting (drop-down) there are options to remove character formatting for selected characters, paragraph formatting for a selected paragraph, or all formatting from a selected paragraph.

Thanks Tom, that is huge! I didn't know it was there either.
I found it here in the MTEXT dropdown options, (is that what you meant?) the "Remove Formatting" is grayed out unless there is an over-ridden format in your MTEXT (I just found out).
