    Default section view work flow

I have a topo of an existing hwy. project. the surface was created using vehicle mounted lidar.
I need to create cross sections along an alignment. I don't have an actual cogo point at the edge of asphalt
only a line representing it. what is the best workflow to show the elevation and location of that EOA in the
    section view?

If you have the line, convert to a feature line. You can show that feature line using it's own elevation at each sample line, or assign a different elevation or specific surface.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.

Thanks Opie. what I decided to go with is to draw a short feature line (just a couple feet long) along those lines where it crosses the sample line and then projecting that to the section view.
It gives me the offset location and the elev. at that point. Seems to be working okay so far. I guess I could draw a feature line along that line the entire length. The surface I'm using is a data reference.
Is it possible to project that feature line in all the section views at once? that would be a lot faster if it's possible.

Yes. Unfortunately, I cannot give you the process right now. Check the ribbon after selecting one of your section views to see if something makes sense. Or hopefully someone comes along to spell out their workflow.
