Default Change default behaviour of file name in Sheet Set Manager

    Hi All,
In AuctoCAD Help, it states that when creating a new sheet, the "File Name specifies the name of the new drawing file containing the sheet. By default, the name of the drawing file is the sheet number combined with the sheet title. You can also change the drawing file name in this box." Is it possible to override the default so that the file name is just the sheet number (without having to change it in "this box")? Thanks for any help.

I'm not sure you can change the default settings, and I'm not sure what you're referring to by selecting "this box".
But when you're "creating a new sheet" in SSM, you get the dialog where the file name is filled in by your "Number" and "Sheet title" but you can rename it right there before you hit "ok"

Also another option; if you "rename and renumber" the sheet through SSM you can select the select the option to "Rename the drawing file to match: Sheet title" and not select the "Prefix with sheet number"

    Hi Tedg,
    Thanks for your reply.
In the New Sheet dialogue box, when I type in the Number, say A1-001, followed by the Sheet title say Floor Plan, the File name becomes A1-001 Floor Plan which is the default. I realise i can change it in "this box" (ie the File name box) but I was hoping there was a way to override this default & have just the Number being the File name. Having said that, it's really not a bad idea to have the File name showing up as A1-00 Floor Plan after all!
    Thanks again for your time.

Check the "Rename and Renumber" options.
