    Question posts above, posts below

    For a structural framing plan (light frame, wood construction), I would like to have posts going up shown solid as if cut through cross section, and posts below show in outline.
    Also, want to have beams show as heavy lines, not actual width or outline.
    At coarse detail level, beams show as lines, but posts are not hatched.
    At medium detail level, posts render as desired, 'up' are hatched, 'down' are shown in outline, but beams show in outline.

    I think I understand what you're looking for, it appears you can get half of what you want with either coarse or medium detail level correct?
    Are you using view templates or just controlling our VG live per view? (I recommend view templates)

    Anywho, you control them the same way whether a template setting or simply in your VG settings,
    Pick which detail level you need the most set for your view, and then under Model Categories, you can control the other detail level by category.
