I have a user at my company that is working on a large project with multiple buildings. Each building is its own Revit model. They tried to "Insert Views from File" to bring in a detail sheet that only has drafting views on it. After the import completed, they tried to synch. At that time they got a warning that there were multiple dwg links with the same name. It seems importing the sheet, with only line work in the drafting views, also brought some of the dwg links.

The duplicate dwg's would show under "Manage Links" but they could not locate them in the actual model anywhere. They ended up having to close the file without synching because Revit would not allow a synch with this error.

Further investigation allows them to copy/paste the individual views without error but needing to re-layout the sheet.

Does anyone what could have caused this? Or why a sheet would bring linked dwgs with unrelated drafting views?

Any help on this would be appreciated since we will need to use these details on multiple buildings and it would be tedious to have to recreate the sheet.
