    Default Usage between platforms

    Hello all,

I work for a company that has both AutoCAD and AutoCAD Electrical (standalone licenses). Would we be violating our user agreement if we created a file in AutoCAD electrical, made some edits in AutoCAD, and then finished it in AutoCAD Electrical?

    Thanks
    Michael

If you own valid licenses to both programs and it works for you, I can't imagine Autodesk would even care.
As long as one isn't like an educational version or something.

We have AutoCAD (vanilla) and AutoCAD Civil 3D, and I can go into a C3D drawing while in AutoCAD and make edits no problem.

It really shouldn't be an issue at all that I can think of

Thanks for the reply. I have done that in the past as well but the license for each were on the same computer. I don't imagine it would be a problem but want to make sure.

AutoCAD Electrical is a free toolset for AutoCAD One. It doesn't require a separate license. So, yes you can use both.

I'm moving this to the CAD Mgmt forum. The new user's forum is just for getting acquainted and introducing yourself to the community. They get deleted after a while.
