Default Jumping screen in Civil 3d

My screen started jumping when I was doing grading in Civil 3D. What is the typical cause?

BTW, how do you do a word search in the existing posts on this site?
    Thanks,
    TT

For search, find the magnifying glass in the upper right corner of the header.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

And to narrow your search to a specific forum, navigate to the desired forum and then click on the search as seen in the picture below.

As to your question, I'm not sure of the cause. Could be something messed with your graphics driver, i.e. a windows update. First, I would try restarting AutoCAD, and/or rebooting.

Doesn't look like anyone answered your first question.

Changing the STATUSBARAUTOWRAP to 0 could be a solution.

    Thanks mjung.
I will give this a try.
It is interesting that when searching in help for the command STATUSBARAUTOWRAP, no info as to what this command means or does is shown, which is typical.
Only different links to help responses.

It would help if you gave a better description of what jumping means, e.g. the whole screen?

Looks like the STATUSBARAUTOWRAP command has fixed it. I think I was running the cursor over the status bar and it was trying to wrap the bar. This caused a shift in the drafting window.

Yeah. I had the same problem. I didn’t think of it by your first description. I just assumed it was a C3D problem, which I don’t have. STATUSBARAUTOWRAP is on by default. But the thing that makes it flake out is when you have the layout tabs showing on the bottom. By default they’re off, so autowrap is not affected.
