Autodesk BDS 2021 activation

I have Building Design Suite Premium 2021, which I chose to retain as a maintenance/perpetual license in lieu of opting to change to subscription as I have semi retired and could not justify the expense.
My dilemma is that widows became corrupt and I engaged an IT guy who re-installed windows and I have lost all programs. I do have the setup files on disk, which I have re-installed. However the software (which is no longer supported by Autodesk) will not activate. Are there any solutions for recovering programs or should I seek full time retirement

I'm heading towards a similar situation -- My perpetual license for Map is 2018, and installed on an older PC -- when that gives up the ghost there is no legal way to reinstall and authorize the software. Rent-seeking behavior designed to shaft older users and hole them hostage. 100% of my home use is adequately served with that software.

However, I've purchased a stand-alone license of Carlson instead of getting on the rental treadmill. There's also BricsCAD and a number of Intellicad work-alikes that do much of what Acad can do, and in some cases more. Carlson costs me $175 USD annually to keep current, so a much better deal than renting for home/occasional use.

I had to re-install my license of BDSP 2021 within the last 12 months on Windows 10. It installed without issue. Can you run it in trial mode and log in to an Autodesk Account from ACAD?

We choose to do the same thing. We were told that we had the perpetual license and could use them. I have been able to install on new computer, they have a person assigned to help with it. It isn't easy but it can be done.
