How do I remove association of Data Shortcut so there is no association at all?

To remove a Data Shortcut from your project entirely, in Toolspace > Prospector tab > expand Data Shortcuts node > then right click a Data Reference and select Remove menu item.
To remove a Data Shortcut Object from your drawing, simply ERASE the Object in ModelSpace, right click & Delete it from Toolspace > Prospector tab, use MANAGEDATASHORTCUTS Command to right click & Delete, or Promote it into the active document.
