Default Pinned items are not able to be selected.

On my laptop copy; anything that is "pinned" with the little thumbtack can NOT be selected; so it can NOT be un-pinned.

    Has anyone experienced this?

(The applies to walls, doors, reference planes, dimensions, etc. Once it is pinned, it stays that way. Super problem)

    Thank you so much, anyone

On the lower right hand portion of your screen, there's a series of button. Those allow you to select or not select certain items, such links or pinned items. My guess is that you have the option to no select pinned objects enabled.

If you have inadvertently turned off the ability to select pinned elements, you won't be able to pick them directly in a view. Here's how to check and modify that setting:

    1. Open Revit and go to the project where you're having the issue.
    2. Look for the Selection settings. On the bottom of the screen, towards the right side, there's a small icon that looks like a mouse pointer inside a square box. This is the "Selection Options" icon.
    3. Click on the Selection Options icon. A small pop-up menu will appear.
4 .Check "Select pinned elements". If this option is unchecked, you won't be able to select pinned objects. Make sure to check this option if you want to select pinned elements.
    5. Click outside the menu or press ESC to close it.

With the "Select pinned elements" option checked, you should now be able to select pinned objects in your project. Remember, even though you can select them, they'll still be pinned and won't move or edit unless you unpin them.
